Al's communication was timely, accurate, helpful and courteous. The bed was soooo comfortable, the room was warm and well insulated from traffic noise, and the whole house was spotlessly clean. We loved sharing access to a full kitchen with complementary breakfast cereals, yoghurt and bread, and tables and chairs for all guests. The location was fine, within walking distance of the old city centre. Al was helpful with information on bus timetables, the best eating places, and the delightful river walk to the city. We enjoyed watching the Sunday boat races on the river.

Parking on driveway right in front- warm welcome by host Al. Al gave us lots of information about where to go, what to see and recommended some nearby restaurants. Bus stop short walk away with regular buses to Cambridge. Room was spotless-everything we needed. Can’t fault it. Highly recommended. Thanks Al.

Very comfortable place to stay during a visit to Cambridge. Convenient bus or longish walk to the town center, with a quiet retreat with everything you need to come back to. Al was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a relaxing meal at a pub in picturesque Fen Ditton, not too far away.Would definitely stay again.

A friendly welcome awaited us.The rooms are spotless.We used the kitchen to make our breakfast, which was very convenient.We were pleased to be able to park our car outside and it wasn't far to the bus stop for transport into the centre.We would return.

This place is a little bit outside of the city centre, but for me it was personally a perfect location.This place is very clean Al the owner is very kind and explains everything very well. The rooms are extremely comfortable and quiet and warm during these cold days in winter. I slept very well in my room.The amenities in my room were by far better than expected. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Cambridge.I really liked it there.

Amazing host and accommodation with parking and on a bus route straight into the city centre. The kitchen and lounge are an absolute bonus and gives that extra flexibility for eating in if preferred. Also an easy walk into town along the lovely River Cam. Definitely will be back soon.

Our room was very clean and very warm. The window was easy to open and we had everything we needed. The host was very nice to us and even gave us a map for Cambridge. He also told us which bus to catch from the train station and was very helpful. Autumn house is located a bit outside but you can get to the city centre easily by bus or even walk.We felt very safe and private. The accommodation even has a shared kitchen for breakfast and we saw a washing machine. We only stayed for 2 nights so we didn‘t used the shared rooms.Would recommend staying there !

Autumn House is lovely. Our room looked over the back of the house and although Newmarket road is busy our room was completely quiet. Everywhere was spotless, the room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Host was friendly and gave really good advice re getting into town, he provided bus information and a map for walking with landmarks marked on to help - really useful. Getting into town very easy - bus stop near the house takes you right into centre. Would very happily stay again.

We had a great stay at Autumn House. Accommodation excellent, very clean & we had use of the kitchen and lounge. Lots of info given on arrival of places to go and see. Cambridge city centre is a 40 minute riverside walk away

The owner was very welcoming courteous and very considerate. The accommodation / room is so clean from the carpet, the bed/ sheets / pillows and the bedside tables. The toilet and shower enclosure clean and no odour. The room is provided with a stand/ tower fan that we were able to use. My wife was so pleased as there is a hair dryer . If ever I will comeback to Cambridge I will definitely book this brb and I definitely recommend it to other travellers/ tourist. Our stay was definitely very comfortable. To add is that I thank the owner for letting me leave my car from time of arrival to a few hours extending the time my car in the driveway.

The property was in a good location, very clean and decorated tastefully to a high standard. The information pre-arrival was very helpful and once we arrived there were signs explaining everything (eg. Opening times of kitchen). Little touches such as maps, take away menus and complimentary cereals and yogurts were brilliant. The room also had an iron and board, hair drier and fan which made our stay much easier. The host was inviting and friendly. I would definitely recommend to others and return if back in the area in the future.

We were looking for accommodation with breakfast, close to the Abbey Stadium.Autumn House was clean with good quality furnishings, a very good shower room. There was bottled water and tea making facilities in the room. We visited during the heat wave and appreciated the effective fan. Al was very accommodating about our check in and friendly and informative about bus information. Parking on the premises was great and there was space in the adjacent street too. Breakfast was help yourself cereal and yoghurts. There was also space in the fridge/freezer for your own food and a cooker and microwave if you wanted to cook. Plenty of space in the kitchen diner to eat. Although on the main road, we found it quiet with easy access to the city.We'd certainly visit again.

Autumn House is a great place to stay, it is very well thought out and has everything you could wish for in a bed and breakfast. Just a short bus ride to the city centre, it's an ideal location.It is on a busy road, but the windows are double glazed and you don't notice the traffic, it certainly didn't prevent us getting two good night's sleep.

We were warmly welcomed and given an intro to the area.Our room was spotless and well equipped.The communal areas were bright, clean and convenient.A well organised and lovely guesthouse.

Sparkling clean, freshly renovated, granite finished bathroom, maybe the best value for the money ever (Room No. 1).Innkeeper Al adds a terrific personal touch -- personally greeting on arrival with a briefing on Cambridge facilities,room included US-UK electrical converters (a really nice touchlacking in British hotels costing 8x more), and he even called to let me know I had left something behind. Great experience.

Autumn House is well maintained and equipped.My room was comfortable the provision of basic breakfast materials waited me well. Bus service into Central Cambridge is frequent.Good value for a short break.

This is the second time I have stayed at Autumn House with Al and as the first time I cant fault it!Sooo lovely and clean lots of little thoughtful additions - cotton buds and makeup remover pads, shower cap, toiletries, great range of drinks and biccies, slippers AND some cereal and yoghurt in an equally clean kitchen/diner so you can have something for breakfast if you like!Al is friendly and really helpful and you can tell he takes huge pride in providing somewhere lovely for his guests to stay - I will be back!

My parents and I had a great stay at Autumn House. We stayed 2 nights, and particularly enjoyed the cleanliness and the quality if the bathrooms. We had back rooms which were quiet and we only discovered the very good kitchen on the last day sadly. Would happily stay again!

Stayed for just over a week and enjoyed every minute. The room was spacious, modern, neat, tidy and impeccably clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The owner, Al was welcoming, kind and a super helpful host. The B&B was not only well equipped but a hidden gem offering great value for money. Looking forward to returning again in the near future!

I am a notoriously picky traveller, but I would struggle to fault Autumn House. The room and en suite were immaculate and had clearly been decorated recently. The bed was comfortable and the tea/coffee tray generous stocked - although decaf versions would have been nice. The owner, Al, was very helpful and easy to contact if we had questions. Would thoroughly recommend.

Rooms are well decorated, comfortable and cosy.The rooms have everything you need even and iron and ironing board. Check in with the host was very informative and welcoming. Only downside is the busy road, but if you can overlook that a great place to stay within a 40 min walk to Cambridge.I would definitely stay there again.

Autumn House is a great place to stay in Cambridge. A bit out of the city centre it gives you the opportunity to explore the city starting at your accommodation. You have the opportunity to store food in the shared (with other guests)fridge or even wash or dry your clothes. Al, the host, is lovely and always has a smile on his face and advice at the ready if you need it. I can thorough recommend it.

Local to my work place for the duration of my stay - superb, clean and comfortable room with everything you could need.No breakfast available, but there are a range of nearby shops and an Aldi a six minute walk down the road to get things to create your own breakfast if required. Great range of local takeaways and pubs!I shall be back whemn training at the airport again! Thank you!

Everything about Autumn House was perfect- very clean, well organised, excellent covid protection, very helpful friendly owner. I felt very safe and great attention to detail in every way. My room had lovely large fluffy towels, several complimentary bottles water and a range of beverages, lots of little extras in the bathroom. Easy to find with off road parking. I will definitely choose to stay again when next in Cambridge.

I had a great time at Autumn House loved the place. I was welcomed by lovely and Friendly Al who provided me with a map and recommendations for the area on the get go and show me the common areas which were free to used by guest and where spotless clean. I had booked the deluxe room which was over my expectations it was excellent. A very clean, spacious and comfortable room which was stocked with complimentary tea, hot chocolate, coffee, biscuits, bottles of water along with toiletries etc in bathroom.The transport links to/from Cambridge city centre was so easy to used with bus stop less then 1 min away with frequent buses 3,11 and 12 into town. So happy I found this great value place would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you Al.

Autumn House was the perfect base for a week in Cambridge. So easy to find and just 10mins on the bus to town. Al was on hand to welcome me personally at 7am and give useful tips about getting around. The room was spotless and everything had been thought of. It was definitely a home away from home. We stayed two nights at Autumn House in the middle of June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner Al could not have been more helpful and accommodating. He gave us lots of recommendations of places to eat and things to do in and around Cambridge. There is a pleasantlounge for residents with a great tv(although good tv in room too) plus a kitchen and dining area available for residents to use. Our room was very clean with lots of tea and coffee provided plus toiletries in the bathroom. Would definitely stay again if we returned to Cambridge.

Despite the mass hysteria on the coronavirus outbreak, a great welcome and hospitality, a great weekend in Cambridge (quiet with few crowds!!) and a location that allowed for easy walk or transport in and out of the city. Comfortable well appointed rooms and facilities with very good support.

We were given a warm welcome, lots of info about Cambridge and a very helpful bus map.We left our car there for 2 days and just used buses - very convenient.Our room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. We enjoyed our trip to Cambridge mid March (just before we were all advised to stay home). We hope to return in the future.

This was our second stay at Autumn House and just as good. Al is a very good host and keeps the accommodation in first class condition. Lots of thoughtful touches everywhere, a real very nice home from home. There is a communal lounge and beautiful fitted kitchen with juice, yoghurt, cereals, bread, jams, tea and coffee on a help yourself basis, for breakfast. A good start to the day. Parking and a bus stop into Cambridge or take a walk. Highly recommended. We wont stay anywhere else in Cambridge. Thankyou Al.

We stayed at Autumn house for the weekend in October. Everything at B&B is taken care with attention and love. Our check in time was supposed to be at late at night , thanks to the detailed explanation of Al we managed to do the check in by ourselves without any inconvenience.If I had to choose again a stay in Cambridge, I would definitely choose Autumn house again and again.

We had a really good weekend in Cambridge staying at Autumn House. The house is 30/40 min walking distance from the city center and there is also a quick bus. The host is lovely and the room perfectly clean. Perfect for a weekend to visit Cambridge !

As clichéd as it sounds, I cannot recommend the Autumn House B&B highly enough. It's clear that the owner has put a lot of thought into what his guests would want and has implemented everything he could think of. The house is clean and tidy with a modern, fresh feel. The bedrooms are comfortable and have everything you want when traveling from the tea and coffee selection to the big, fluffy towels in the lovely bathroom.There are separate lounge and breakfast areas with a microwave and kettle in the lounge so you can do a bit of cooking for yourself or heat something up if you like. Breakfast was excellent. The food was fresh, well-cooked, plentiful, and the selection was excellent.The owner is friendly and genuinely glad to help where he can. He provided us with a map of the area, told us which bus to take, where to get on and off, as well as how to know where to get on on-off.It's obvious that the owners like what they do and put a lot of thought into their business with great attention to detail. We were very impressed and will certainly be returning in future.

By far the best B&B we have stayed in modern very very clean and a brilliant host. Some so called upmarket hotels could learn something from Autumn House.Thank you Al we would not hesitate to return.

Stayed here for a long weekend break, got there early and was greeted by Al who was brilliant, checked us in and showed us everything we needed including a great little kitchenette down stairs where you can have takeaway etc ( brilliant idea) our room was lovely and clean and everything in there we needed.Quite a walk into Cambridge but there are buses going every 10 mins, we walked in by the river it took about 20 mins.Great breakfast awaited us next morning everything you could think of, it was amazing .Could definitely recommend Autumn house and we definitely will go back .xxxxx

We needed somewhere to stay whilst visiting Cambridge for a get together with my husband’s college rowing crew from 50 years ago. Autumn House looked good on the web page and I was not disappointed. Everything you could need for a weekend away was there from a comfortable bed to a lovely breakfast.The place was very clean, well organised and well maintained. To have the use of the kitchen was great complete with everything you might need. Al was extremely friendly and helpful with advice on buses into town and a map and timetable. I really couldn’t find anything negative to say. A very good place to stay on a regular bus route into town. Well done Al for your hard work.

We have just come back from a lovely weekend stay at Autumn House for our wedding anniversary.We stayed in Room number 1 which faces the front of the building overlooking the main road but the sound of traffic wasnt an issue and to be honest never really heard it.The room was a good size with an incredibly comfortable mattresses which allowed us to get some good sleep!!The ensuite was nicely done with a great shower and attention to detail with little soaps,shower gels etc and quality thick towels.There was a good selection of teas,coffees and sugar with plenty of milk to have a drink in your room but there is no fridge,which didn't really present a problem though.We met Al the owner on the Saturday morning and he couldn't be more helpful and informative giving us various pieces of advice for our stay.An absolute gem of a place to stay and we will return again in the future.If youre thinking of staying,dont hesitate because you will not be disappointed and it also has the added bonus of free parking.Thanks once again.

We absolutely loved staying at Al's B&B. It is easy to check in, the room is great, the bathroom is spotless and it has everything you need. Easy access to and from town by bus or less than a tenner if you get a cab. If ever in Cambridge again, I will definitely stay there!

One of the best places we have ever stayed in.Al was an amazing attentive host and so knowledgeable about area and provided maps etc.Lots of great little touches in rooms e.g. slippers ,extra plugs,and toiletries.Oh and a host who provided gluten free bread for me was much appreciated.The house was immaculate and so homely.If we are ever in this are again we will definitely be back

Autumn House is the only place to stay when visiting Cambridge as it is on a convenient bus route into the city as you don’t want to take your car as parking is a nightmare.This is a very warm and friendly B&B with excellent service given lovingly.Our bedroom was excellent with a large comfy bed and super pillows.We had two chairs, a wardrobe, desk and chair, bedside tables and lamps, tea and coffe supplies with biscuits, in fact you want for nothing.The en-suite shower room is fully tiled with a lovely shower, fluffy towels and toiletries.Breakfast is great with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, continental and full English available, toast and juice all served with a smile from host Al.I highly recommend a stay at Autumn House as you won’tfind better.

First of all, it is easy to find and check-in is simple as can be. Al was very friendly and accommodating, gave us some tips and showed us our room. The room was clean, the bathroom luxurious with free soap, shampoo and shower gel. We loved the attention to detail, the teas and how comfy the bed was. Absolutely recommend the Autumn House to any visitors od Cambridge!

We have just stayed 2 nights at this really lovely B & B. We have stayed in many hotels & can truthfully say that our stay here was the best to date. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner, who has to be the friendliest, most helpful host we have ever known. The room, en suite & breakfast were fantastic. Everything you could possibly want or need is catered for. We would highly recommend this B & B for a relaxing stay. It is in a great location for exploring Cambridge with great transport links close by. If we return to Cambridge we will definitely be booking with Autumn House again. Many thanks to the owner!

The owner was exceptionally friendly and went out of his way at all times to be helpful. My room had every convenience wanted, was warm and cosy, exceptionally clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Very quiet and easy to walk into the centre along the river. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday in Cambridge at Autumn House. The host was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was marvellous and the next bus stop to the centre was not far away. The room was nice and the bathroom surprisingly large. Newmarket Road is very busy, though, and a room facing the main road may be too noisy for some.

A clean and enjoyable stay, with the most comfortable beds of our two-week trek around Ireland and the UK. Al was lovely and a great cook. Would definitely stay again!

We spent our 2nd year wedding anniversary at Autumn House in Cambridge. From meeting with the host who gave a detailed list of activities, maps and directions, to the comfortable rooms, to the excellent breakfast; I highly rate Autumn House as a B&B worth staying with.The host is very professional but personable and you felt like you were getting way more for your money. Best breakfast ever in a b&b ... It´s easy to park - also in the street nearby. Busstop only 2 minutes to go. Try the 7 day ticket, if possible, much cheaper.Some traffic noise because the b&b is near a busy road.

We picked this B&B based on its reviews and weren’t disappointed. The host, Al, was excellent - welcoming and informative. Everything was well organised and he provided a full map of Cambridge and explained the bus route and the day rider ticket. The room was immaculate and the en suite spotless. I really enjoyed my stay at Al's house. I've been there twice and really love his great breakfast and the fun he has to serve it to you. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and you can have a marvellous walk to the center of the city along the river.

Owners were fantastic, accomodating, non-invasive.Place was clean, tidy, nothing too much, nothing too little.Food was amazing, plenty of choice,Small details such as having plenty of menu boards allowing all to see from wherever you are sat.Parking is ample if not out front then the side road, Traffic can be noisy so travelling in summer you'll want windows open.Driving into Cambridge is simple and easy from here, so is accessing any other parts or surrounding areas.McDonalds and a Spar within walking distance and a Retail park a very short drive away with all you could need.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Autumn House and we were very impressed from the minute we stepped foot inside the front door. everywhere was spotless,the furniture and fittings were of the highest standard and the decor was stylish.Al, the owner, was most welcoming, friendly and informative. He has a really nice attitude, chatty but not intrusive.The breakfasts were freshly prepared , with a good selection and tasty. We enjoyed the walk into the city centre but frequent buses were available if required.To sum up Autumn House, I have to say that it is the best B&B I have stayed in and I would rate it above some 4* hotels.

Al was the perfect host.He welcomed us with a really useful informative chat about what to see, where to go, where to eat, etc., in Cambridge. The room was comfortable and spotless.The walk in to Cambridge from the b&b is really pleasant if you take the route alongside the River Cam.It's also very easy to catch the bus in to the centre if you don't fancy the 30 minute walk, though.The breakfast served up in the morning was delicious.In summary - everything you could wish for in a b&b,Thanks Al!!

Very well organized and spotlessly clean.

I felt instantly at home

We stayed for three nights. Autumn House is easy to find and very comfortable, a good bed and great shower. Very modern and clean. Breakfasts were great, lots of choice and De Luca gave good advice. Parking is a bonus, especially if you want to travel out. It was also easy to take the bus into central Cambridge. Would recommend.

Friendly reception and all round clean environment

I had a two night stay at Autumn House and whilst my single room was compact, it had everything I could possibly need and the en-suite was surprisingly spacious. It was clean and warm (we had snow, so that was important!) and Al, the host, was friendly and helpful, making it a very pleasant stay.

Up to its normal high standards, spotless and friendly - wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay at Autumn House during late October 2017.My twin room was spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard.The bathroom was also spotlessly clean with an excellent shower.The proprietor is a very friendly man and the breakfast was amazing on both days.I would thoroughly recommend the Autumn House guest house and will be staying there again in the future, if I need to stay overnight in Cambridge.

This was our second visit, so that says it all! Beyond being a great place to stay, Host Al De Luca knows Cambridge in a way that will really make a difference to your visit!

Everything is very clean. The room size is big enough. The bath room is quiet new. The landlord is very friendly. This is a comfortable place that make you have a good mood. traffic by bus is convenient.

Al is super friendly and knowledgeable about his property and the area, he has a bespoke map he gives guests showing places of interest, restaurants and bus routes and times.The property is super clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The king size bed was sooo comfy.Breakfasts are great too offering a fab choice, you will not be hungry there.

We spent three nights here over the bank holiday weekend and were made most welcome. The house is in a great location, being a short walk from the bus stop, with a good service in to the city centre and railway station 2 miles away. The owner is very friendly and helpful and gave us some useful tips about places to visit and eat in Cambridge. For a delicious, inexpensiveevening meal we recommend The Wrestlers Pub Thai restaurant which is within walking distance of Autumn House. House is clean, tidy and well equipped. Bed is comfortable and the room of a good size. Well designed good sized bathroom with shower cubicle. Generous, tasty breakfasts which nicely set you up for the day.Thank you Al for making our stay with you such an enjoyable one.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Autumn House.Clean, comfortable room with an excellent bathroom, delicious breakfasts with lots of options, and easy access to city centre.We would definitely recommend to other travellers.

From arriving on the Friday to leaving on the Sunday, you could not of asked for better hospitality.The greeting was very welcoming and told us what was around and the best way to travel around Cambridge. The breakfast was delicious and such a variety.The room was spotless.I would definitely use Autumn House again as I plan to visit Cambridge again and would recommend it as a place to stay.

We booked a couple of nights to stay in Cambridge after our Daughters wedding at one of the colleges and it was a good choice, as Al, owner of Autumn House, made us most welcome, gave us some tips as regards eating out, bus routes, etc and then showed to us our room(5) which was an excellent room,with a beautifull en suite.Breakfast was taken in a lovely dining room, light and airey, with a good choice of continental or a well cooked hot breakfeast using what was obviousy quality ingredients.We would highly reccommend this B&B for a stay.

Also bottles of water.The beds are very comfortable, giving you the choice of thick or thin covers (thin were on as default as we visited in summer) and 1 or 2 quality comfortable pillows.Each room also has a good sized wardrobe with a large amount of included coat-hangers, and a full-length mirror on the door.In general, the rooms, en-suits, and rest of the B&B are immaculately clean, with modern styling. The ground floor is wooden laminate flooring, again immaculate, and the stairs and first floor are carpeted. The carpet is thick and comfortable under-foot.Breakfast is fantastic. The owner is a great cook, and there is a wide range of choice. In addition to the main cooked choices, there is: Essentially unlimited toast (white or brown) with nice jams, marmalade, and honey. Cereal, yoghurts, and fruit too. And to drink there is proper ground filter coffee, juices, and tea by the pot. Again, essentially unlimited.The tables, chairs, and cutlery, crockery, etc. are all very nice.There is room for 3 cars to park outside the B&B for free. And the road adjacent is unmarked, so additional cars could park there freely if needed.If you are thinking of spending anywhere near this price range (or above!) I would highly recommend this B&B. Also the experience of hiring out nearly the whole thing to ourselves added to the fun.

Autumn House is a very good place to visit Cambrdge (bus3 -15 minutes)The room and the bathroom are very clean and comfortable.The owner is very kind and the breakfast perfect.A little problem: the house is on a main road and there is noise by the traffic even by night. Our room was in front of the road. May be there is less noise if you are on the garden side.

We had a warm welcome from Al who showed us round and gave us some local information and a map to help us find our way around. We walked into Cambridge along the river stopping off at a local hostelry for lunch and a pint! Enjoyed a river excursion on a punt (dont take the first ticket! The sellers are competing for business and will offer reduced rates if you shop around).The house was spotlessly clean and furnishings were smart and new. The en-suite was better than most smart big hotels Ive stayed in and included generous supplies of toiletries.Extremely comfortable bed, we slept very well and didnt notice the road outside.Again generous supplies of teas and coffee in the room and--Glory Be! a mirror with an electric socket nearby to dry my hair! The breakfast was very good. Quality cereals, yoghurts and fruit and a choice of cooked breakfasts. All in all a really fabulous last minute booking for us and we would definately return if we are in the area again. Thanks Al and the Autumn House team!

Clean, comfortable and well appointed, we enjoyed our few days stay. Attentive host for whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble. A rare find indeed.

From the moment we entered the B & B we were warmly received and welcomed and given all information needed. The room was immaculate and pleasant as well as all the facilities. Also a good breakfast. It is a bit far for an easy walk into town, but the local bus met that need well. We would recommend Autumn House to anyone visiting Cambridge.

Enjoyed my stay with you and appreciated assistance with map etc. One tiny thing, a small tablet of soap would be useful on the hand basin.

One of the best places we stayed during our three weeks in the UK. Our host had thought of everything to make the visit to Cambridge comfortable. He explained how to get around, the bus was close and convenient.Wonderful breakfast and great company!

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival.The owner gave us lots of information about Cambridge.Provided us with a map with details of places to visit, pubs, restaurants even bus timetables and taxis.Our room was spotless and nicely decorated.The bathroom was modern and well presented with lovely soft thick towels.The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choices especially cooked breakfast.This was one of the nicest places I have stayed the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and his attention to detail was excellent.I would definitely stay there again.

Excellence is an often used word but really true in this case. We had a lovely room and ensuite exceptional. A very minor point is that it would be nicer to have a chair rather than a stool' at least for my old back!!The breakfast is lovely and fresher, cooked individually.. The owner is a lovely man, you feel a fried , and very professional. Our next visit to Cambridge will definitely see us here again. A pleasure to give an unqualified 5* rating. Michael & Marian

We all had a great time in Cambridge both rooms were excellent apart from being so warm but the weather was tremendous. The breakfasts were great and your information was very useful to us. When we come back another visit we will use your B&B again

The hotel is just great, the manager is a very kind man. I felt like i was at home. the place is very clean, the toilets are clean and towels being changed regularly, the beds are very comfy and the breakfast is super. What i really liked about this place is Al the manager, he is very kind and helpful

As above, the room was lovely as were the host and his partner. Every possible care has been taken to ensure that Autumn House will meet all the needs and expectations of the varied guests.

This facility was simply wonderful and well worth taking a short bus ride to the city.In my previous efforts to stay within the walking distance of the Cambridge university on a budget, I had to endure some horrible places. Not here. Even though I had a single room, it felt spacious and, most impressively, the bathroom was spacious and spotless (I mean it), and supplied with all amenities including a whole-body-wrap towel and a slipper. The room was also provided with a range of tea, coffee, and 2 bottles of water every day. The breakfast was prepared by the owner every morning, on order, in the veritable tradition of B&B. He is very attentive to making his guests feel at home. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here & will do so every time I go back to Cambridge.There is parking, too.

We had an excellent stay here including the standard of cleanliness and the breakfast. The owner was exceptionally helpful.We would highly recommend this accommodation. It is also in a very good location with parking available.

Every year we take our time to visit a city. A beautiful B&B like the Autumn House in Cambridge is rare. It starts with a realy nice and warm welcome from Al, the realy lovely owner. The room was so clean it seemed to be new. We booked also the breakfast and that was a very good decision. The dining area was arranged with love and the breakfast was cooked every day fresh by Al and served with a nice conversation. If we ever come back to Cambridge we know were to stay.Andrea & Michael

Just had a lovely weekend in Cambridge, staying at Autumn House. Food, accommodation and the owner, were brilliant! Al was very accommodating and informative throughout.

For a short break to Cambridge we couldn't have made a better choice. Autumn House is ideally placed to get into Cambridge a bus service only a few minutes from the door runs every 10 minutes saving you the hassle and expense of finding parking. The guest house itself came up to expectations and above, the room was warm and welcoming and the bathroom fabulous, everything you could need available, lots of tea coffee chocolate and milk (one of the things there is always a shortage off!!!) Breakfast is served in a welcoming are and nothing is too much trouble for the owner Al who was very helpful with information about access to Cambridge including a lovely walk by the river.We would be more than happy to stay here again and recommend it.

Even before staying at Autumn house I was impresses by the owner Al who I had spoken to on a number of occasions and he was always helpful and cheerful. The standard of cleanliness was the best I have experienced.The bathrooms are lovely, warm and super showers.The breakfast perfect with lots of choice.Very stylish and Al continues to keep everything in good order. The Booking went very easy.The room was very good. Everything you couldthink of was available. The breakfast was excellent.Maybe there is a bit to much traffic but we didn't hear anything becausewe slept at the back.

What can I say? This place was simply perfect. Parking outside, bus to the centre 2 minutes away. Room and bathroom ensuite perfectly clean and wonderfully comfortable, especially after a day's walking around Cambridge. A lot to choose from for breakfast. And Al, our host, was so welcoming and hospitable. He recommended the best places in Cambridge to see in the two days we were there and also recommended the best restaurants to eat at in the evening. A perfect relaxing stay and I would highly recommend it. I will surely visit again.

Autumn House bed and breakfast is the best BB I've stayed in! Rooms and other premises are almost new, the rooms are warm and bathroom almost luxurious. I've never seen a place and premises so well thought after and organised. The stay of a visitor is thought according to the smallest detail! Bus connections to the city are very good and the bus stop close. Even an excellent Indian restaurant around the corner. I would suggest Autumn House for any traveller looking for a comfortable stay ( almost luxurious) in a BB in Cambridge.

My room in Autumn house was better than a 4 star hotel.I felt that the room and bathroom had been designed and prepared with the comfort of the guests in mind.The service felt personal and friendly.The price for sucha nice place was inexpensive given the quality, comfort, hospitality, availability of parking space and close proximity to the town centre. It was 10 out of 10.

An excellent place to stay. It is run very professionally, but does not lose the personal touch. Clean, bright, well equipped bedrooms and very good breakfast. A little out of the town centre, but this is not a problem at all because public transport is very close and you can easily get into town. Highly recommended.

From the booking process to leaving Autumn House we were well looked after by the owner Al, who provided us with great information regarding eating places as well as a local map & transport info. The walk into Cambridge is very pleasant along the river and it was a quick journey back by bus. The b & b is furnished to a very high standard with excellent facilities & is lovely and clean. Excellent place to stay. We stayed two nights, the room was fresh and had ample hanging and drawer space (unusual!), parking on site, quality breakfasts and charming friendly hosts who were so knowledgeable about what to visit and where to dine in Cambridge.

Ok it is a short bus ride from the city centre or a pleasant stroll by the river to the centre which may not suit some but is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, lovely breakfast and an excellent friendly and helpful host.

Really excellent rooms and en-suite. Looks newly done, very comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast was brilliant too - everything was covered! Very attentive hosts. Surprised that they don't charge more for the service they provide. We had free parking outside the B&B all weekend. Got a free upgrade to a kingsize room, due to another customer needed a ground floor room, which we happily accepted! The hosts are kind enough to gift us with a bottle of Prosecco too as it was our 1 year wedding anniversary. Their recommendations for hotels and things to do was great too, as was the detailed map that was provided to us on the first day. We also got to check in as early as we could make it, which meant we had a great full first day. Lovely walk into Cambridge centre along the river - took about 20/25 minutes. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone, and would certainly stay there again myself, if and when we visit Cambridge!

We've returned to Autumn House several times as we are confident that it'll be clean, quiet, convenient and with Al as our friendly host.The rooms are nicely furnished with comfortable beds and the en suite bathrooms are of a high quality, with some thoughtful added touches.Al is a mine of local and useful information, and does an excellent breakfast!

This is not just staying in someone's spare room. It is a well run professional business. The proprietor, Al, is very personable & friendly and a mine of local information. The rooms are immaculate, the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious, spotless & modern. We weren't able to sample Al's legendary breakfast but reserve that privilege for our next visit. Nice location. Al was such a good host. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent and had a variety of options. Definitely recommend staying here.

Autumn House is a really outstanding B&B featuring modern and clean rooms with en suite facilities. The host is very attentive and serves the best breakfast I have seen in Cambridge B&Bs so far. A taxi to city center costs about 8 pounds, or it's 45 min walk down Newmarket road. An Indian restaurant, Tesco, McDonalds, Spar and some pubs are within walking distance of 10 min. A great place to stay in Cambridge!

The host Al is very friendly and helpful.The house is spotless.Breakfast includes fresh fruits, so delicious!To get into Cambridge city center, can take buses or taxi (about £8 to £9), or walk (about 45 min. according to information but we took taxi).

I booked here due to its location to both Cambridge and to a course I was attending. Autumn House was exactly what I wanted. Good friendly host and good room, nicely decorated and sized. Was easy walking into Cambridge. Excellent service and lovely breakfast both days.

The thing which strikes one immediately on check in is the pains taken by Al to keep the B&B very very clean. It was a fantastic stay, comfortable beds and good wholesome breakfasts. Thanks to the host, our first time at Cambridge was memorable. We will certainly be back!

Stayed here for a couple of nights with a friend whilst visiting Cambridge. From the moment we arrived we couldn't have been made to feel more more welcome. Lovely breakfast with a good variety of options. Very clean & comfortable room. The owner clearly works very hard & enjoys his job which shows. I would have no hesitation in staying here again & recommending it to others.Close enough to walk into the town which takes about 30 mins along the river.

Excellent place to stay when visiting Cambridge , very clean and comfortable, tasty breakfast , friendly and helpful owner. Lovely, one mile riverside walk into the city from just down the road which you would miss if staying within the city. Highly recommended !!

Hotel was very clean, comfortable and parking abundant in the local vicinity.

Al goes out of his way to bewelcoming, rooms are a good size and absolutely spotlessly clean, breakfast is superb and location excellent. Let Al know what time you are arriving and he will greet you with a wealth of useful information anout what to visit, where to eat and how to travel. We had a free visit to Kings College for evensong. We ate at Al's cousin's superb Italian restaurant and travelled in and out of Cambridge by bus. The bus stop is a couple of minutes walk from Autumn house, the bus is every ten minutes to the city centre and a day ticket only £4.10. Al has customised maps printed with bus and walking routes on them. Al really made us feel at home. There is a great choice of teas, coffees a d breakfast items. He is very chatty and made us laugh. Book early as he is often fully booked. We chose Autumn house because of other peoples' excellent feviews and were really glad that we did.

Fantastic B&B. Stylish, comfortable & spotlessly clean in a great location with delicious breakfasts. However, the best part of our stay was meeting Al, the host. Charming, friendly and informative, Al was the perfect host. Our visit to Cambridge wouldn't have been half as enjoyable if it hadn't have been for Al's suggestions about what to do and see during our visit. We would definitely recommend Autumn House as the best place to stay in Cambridge.

Just returned from a two night stay in Autumn House, and I can only endorse all of the positive feedback about this fabulous B&B and our great host Al de Luca. Made to feel very welcome as soon as you walk in, Al gave us a very detailed map highlighting bus routes (bus stop is five minutes walk from the door) and recommended places of interest during our stay. A one day Day-rider bus ticket costs £4.10 per person. A ten minute walk from the B&B and you start a very pleasant river walk which takes you straight into Cambridge, with a pub halfway along the route. We booked the deluxe room on the first floor, located on the main road. There is minimal traffic noise, but living on a busy road as we do, it did not spoil our stay in the slightest. The room was very modern and spacious with a comfortable bed, as was the en-suite. Al's attention to detail is evident throughout the building and everywhere is spotlessly clean.His breakfast options were impressive as was his presentation, and is fantastic value for money. We would both highly recommend staying at this little gem in Cambridge. Thanks for a great weekday break Al.

One of the nicest places that we have stayed at. The hosts are friendly, helpful and run a professional establishment. The room was of high spec and everything was thought about. Al goes through a detailed map which is very helpful with planning your time in Cambridge.There was a comprehensive breakfast menu. Worth paying extra as the food is of the highest standard. Also convenient for buses and indeed only a lesisurely walk from the city and all that has to offer. Thanks again for a great stay.

Autumn House is a beautifully kept B&B. Al is very friendly and really helpful, full of suggestions on lovely places to visit during your stay...he cooks a super yummy breakfast too!!It's a bit of a walk into Cambridge centre, but if you go down Stanley Rd and head to the River Cam, it's a very pretty walk up to Jesus Green and the beautiful university buildings beyond.

Very enjoyable two night stay. Host, Al very well prepared, offering loads of advice and map on arrival. Room comfortable, clean and with excellent shower with piping hot water. Breakfast delicious, plenty of choice, we had the full english which was well presented and freshly cooked with good quality local ingredients. I would not hesitate to return to this bed and breakfast.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owner who made us feel very welcome indeed.He provided us with all the practical information we needed in a very efficient professional manner.In particular I appreciated him allowing me to leave my rental car in his driveway on the day of our departure.Don't hesitate to book!

Owner Al is a very friendly guy, communicates well and makes a very nice breakfast. The rooms are well equiped and clean. The beds are good, but a bit short for tall people and the quality of the mattress could be better. Overall a very nice BnB. I certainly would recommend it to everyone and I'll stay the next time I visit Cambridge.

Recently stayed at the Autumn House whilst visiting Cambridge. The guest house was of a high standard and offered all the comforts of home.On arrival we were greeted withrefreshments and given information of how to best see all of the sights Cambridge had to offer. You could not fault the breakfast that was included and the excellent choice of menu. We were also given ideas for places to visit on our return journey, which completed our weekend away, making it a thouroughly memorable break. Would definatly return to the Autumn House and wouldrecommend it to friends to stay there too.

This is my third stay at Autumn House and each time it is the same. Warm, friendly welcome from Al, comfortable bed in beautiful surroundings with nice touches to the room i.e. plenty of milk for the tea or coffee. And the wonderful breakfast in the morning - such a selection, always really nice and sets you up for the day. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cambridge.

Great from start to finish, Al was friendly and very helpful with instructions on how to get around easily. The whole building was spotless and very well maintained. Rooms very comfortable. Everything about Autumn House is quality. The furniture is attractive and substantial with excellent fixtures and fittings.The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Lots of coat hangars,good ones,which is something a lot of places overlook. Everything had been thought of for the comfort of the guests,right down to the provision of cotton wool balls and cotton buds plus paper hankies. The breakfasts were excellent and gluten free provided without question. Nothing was too much trouble for our host who spent some considerable time telling us the best ways to travel round Cambridge,even giving us our own map and travel information, which he has designedhimself and had printed for his guests.Lovely,tiled en-suite and everything scrupulously clean. Highly recommended.

As usual this visit didn't leave anything to wish for. The hospitality is beyond comparison. I was told that every two years the rooms are being refurbishes. Now how great is that? I hope the host will stick to the craftsmen he picked, because they do an outstanding job! Seldom have I seen crafts done to that perfection in Britain! Honestly.

I have been lucky to stay at Autumn House for four nights. I can only recommend this B&B. The room was absolutely clean and designed to a very high Standard. The breakfast offers a wide choice and was cooked freshly and with excellent ingredients. I personally would prefer coffee in the caffetiere or even better italian style (e.g. Nespresso or similar) to the offered american coffee.Al was very helpful with any question.Finally it is to point out that is very conveniently reached by car with a private car park. A few meters away you'll find one of Cambridge's City Bus Line which brings you into town in less than 15 minutes.

Stayed here with my Son for two days for my daughter's graduation. Superb guest house! Al is a warm welcoming host with lots of local information to hand as soon as we arrived. Great rooms, immaculate cleanliness and very comfortable. Breakfast, again Superb! Definitely would recommend. If in Cambridge again I wouldn'teven consider staying anywhere else. Our stay at the Autumn House was a very pleasant one. Al and his team run a beautiful B&B which is not only extremely tidy but also being looked after at in a thoughtful manner. The breakfast is great with lots of choices.Only minor things are the busy road in front of the B&B and the thin walls which cause TV and voices to travel to the other room.Therefore this results in a 4 star rating...

What a terrific place to stay in Cambridge.The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom had all we needed and it also had a really great shower. The breakfast was cooked fresh as we ordered, and I cant think of anything that we would have wanted that wasn't on that menu.The best recommendation is that we will be back again the next time we are in Cambridge.

We are satisfied with every things, excepted the surface of the room (about 13 square metres) and noise from the street from time to time. The breakfast was fine and the access to the city center is easy by the bus number 3. Free parking was also perfect.

My partner & I booked in to Autumn House B&B at the last minute, for a 2-night, mid week break to Cambridge. A super choice.Yes, this B&B is on a main road into the city, but more of that later, as this is such a fine, clean, tidy and high spec accommodation, that is very credible stopover, very conveniently placed to visit the city centre.Firstly, I must mention the host, Al, who certainly goes 'the extra mile' in ensuring that you make the most of your visit to Cambridge - he is a mine of information, very friendly, sociable and seemingly always on hand to give advice. He is also very organised for breakfast and explaining the set up at Autumn House, which we actually liked, after all he has 7-bedrooms of guests to cater for.This guest house is spotlessly clean, decorated to a very high spec. The breakfasts are superb, with a multiple choice to suit all and taken in a bright, modern breakfast room, with individual room seating. There is a small car park at the front of the property, where 3-4 cars can park, but there is also parking in a side road adjacent to the property.The only downside is the location on the main road, which is quite noisy, particularly if you have the windows open on a hot day and are located in a room at the front of the house, which we were. However, given the other redeeming features, I would not wish to make too much of this, as whilst we were in room 7 at the front, we slept ok, as the double glazing muted the noise, so if you close the windows and ask for a fan, it's fine - we had a good nights sleep. Al is very accommodating.Our room had a large, low, double bed, wardrobe, dresser with complimentary drinks, new wooden flooring and a sumptuous en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Serviced well each day, lovely when returning late evening.There is a park & ride bus stop just 200 yards from the B&B, Al will explain the day ticket option, saving driving into the town (where car parking is VERY expensive).All in all, a very pleasant experience, which we would recommend.

This hotel is very very clean and equipped with excellent fire protection system. Al is very helpfull. The English breakfast is also excellent. The only input from me for this hotel is the soap and shampoo, if they use the top soap and shampoo then everything is prefect. The current soap and shampoo are ok but if they want to be top then these have to be top as well.

Al is very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms were very clean and spacious. En suite was up to a very high standard. Many choices of breakfast, all tasted great.

Yes, absolutely outstanding this carefully renovated B&B with all the luxury of a hotel. Very clean, spacious bathroom, whatever you need it's there. Breakfast at a super price and unbelieveable in what you will find. Cereals, fresh fruits and berries and try the scrambled eggs with salmon! Al is an outstanding host in all aspects again. Very helpful with lots of suggestions for the day and your evening dinner. We really enjoyed our four days in Cambridge and certainly also because of our stay with Al's Autumn House. Whenever we will come to Cambridge again no doubt this will be the only place for us. Only if you decide for front room like No.7 suggest you take earplugs as Newmarket Rd. Is busy particularly in the morning. We used them and had no problems. Thanks Very much Al for everything!

On arrival my eye was drawn to two bay trees in pots either side of the door &I my heart sank - one was dead & the other in need of ICT - will it all be neglected. Happily everything else was a complete contrast, modern decor, well maintained & immaculately clean. The owners were friendly & very helpful. Beds comfy (except wooden feet stick out quite a bit, hazardous to unwary toes - especially as you are requested not to wear shoes upstairs). Plenty of hot water, good toiletries & towels. I found the positioning of the shower & soap dish made it a little awkward to use, could have done with the shower head further to the corner, the soap dish is quite wide and got in the way of my head/hands when washing hair - fine for general showering though. The road is quite busy but we had a good sleep. Breakfast was good. Over all, a few niggles but generally very good.

Our stay at Autumn House was perfect. As a B&B, they thought of everything, from giving us excellent tourist advice on check-in, to providing us with all the little amenities in our room - and a delicious and generous breakfast as well! The room was very clean and the bathroom very newly upgraded, very modern and very nicely done. Thank you Al.

We were very pleased with our stay. A bus stop is near as are several wonderful restaurants. Our room was very clean with a comfy bed. It had a large updated bathroom. Breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious.

I only stayed two nights there. The staff was very friendly and made things possible i did not expected. Thanks a lot for it. The house is well located also for travelers without car because bus station is next by. And if no bus is going, taxi service is cheap in Cambridge, e.g. ca. 9 pound to railway station. I grew up in Cambridge and was returning for a family members funeral. Upon entering the front door of Autumn house I instantly relaxed, a warm, friendly welcome and the house is nothing short of excellence. Well decorated, clean (an understatement) and quiet. We stayed for two nights and both mornings we enjoyed a well cooked breakfast with all the trimmings and more! Our room was so lovely well decorated, clean, and the en-suite was beautiful. The room was really well stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits the list is endless. What was a very difficult homecoming for me was made easier by the fact that I was so comfortable in Autumn house and knew I had an excellent base to return to whilst there. I can't recommend it enough and will without a doubt be returning for another visit the next time I am in Cambridge. (And I have family I could stay with!)

We stayed here for two nights last weekend as we were going to a family wedding. Al was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble.The room was very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was huge!We stayed on the ground floor in Room 7. The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch as too were the slippers in the hallway!Breakfast was great. Lots to choose from and all freshly cooked to order.I hope we have another excuse to come to Cambridge again soon so that we can have another night here!

We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday evenng while visiting Cambridge.Our room was immaculately presented, as was the rest of the house and very warm and comfortable.The ensuite had everything you need and was high quality.Breakfast was a real treat!Coffee, cereals, fruits, yoghurt and toast, followed by a choice of full English, salmon, omelettes - nothing was too much trouble and food was plentiful.Al is a great host and knowledgeable about the local area and it's numerous attractions.All-in-all a lovely weekend made better by the first class accommodation.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the owner.He gave us lots of information and recommendations about Cambridge as it was our first time visiting.The rooms were modern, bright, quiet and REALLY clean. We booked three nights stay , when we arrived we were greeted with a tea / coffee, and then given all the info we needed to get around Cambridge,and Newmarket races which was where we were going .the room was immaculate and nothing was too much trouble . Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a special place to stay.

Autumn House provides excellent value for a short stay in Cambridge, even without Al De Luca. With Al, it becomes a memorable part of any visit. His warmth, care, valued information and great sense of humour added enormously to our brief holiday in Cambridge.Recommended.

The B&B was a little bit far from the city center but in within 30 min you can be there. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and extremely confortable. The breakfast was perfect. They even bought some gluten free bread for me.

Our ground floor double room was just right ! Comfy bed, modern bath, and the most luxurious breakfasts we had during our month in U.K. Appreciated proximity to a major bus line.

As always, the standards at autumn house were incredibly high on my most recent visit. Very well finished rooms with all the amenities you need, spotlessly clean as always, and a great location for studying in or exploring Cambridge.And all of this for an amazing price.

Very clean, tidy and cozy. It has details that are appreciated like the kettle and the iPhone dock. Everything is very new and tastefully decorated. Very good heating. Excellent bathroom. Bus close to the house directly to the city center. Fast WiFi. Attentive and close personal. Strongly recommended.

We have just returned from a weekend stay at Autumn House. Situated a little way from the centre of Cambridge, there is a very good bus service or a lovely walk alongside the river to access all the history and shopping that is on offer. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and very clean. On arrival we were provided with all the information we needed to get about easily as well as recommendations for places to eat- The Wrestlers pub does a wonderful Thai meal as well as boasting 7 excellent real ales. We would certainly recommend Autumn House to family and friends as well as using it again ourselves next time we are visiting that area

Autumn House is a immaculate, friendly and beautiful place to stay. We had two nights here to visit Cambridge.Nothing was too much trouble for Al, who is also full of uaeful advice about the area. He has thought of everything. Great breakfast too.

Very clean Hotel with super friendly staff and good located near the City centre. Staying there there for the weekend was brillant!

Al has welcomed us in a very kind way and has been really helpful to give us all the information needed to enjoy cambridge for a couple of days.The BB is located at about 30-40 minutes walk distance from the centre, about 5-10min by car or bus. The bus stop is very close to the BB and to take the bus is easy and more convenient.We stayed in the room at the ground floor. The room is quite little but cosy, well newly furnished and with good facilities like a kettle, cups, glasses, teas and coffees, hair drier, iPod speakers, TV. We found the bed extremely comfortable.The bathroom is big and totally new, with a big shower. Maybe a little stole or cupboard would be useful.The breakfast was ok, full english breakfast is an option or you can choose yogurt, porridge, toasts, cereals, fruit.In geberal we had a very good stay here. Al, thank you for everything.

Autumn House is an excellent place to stay.Al, the owner, is a gentleman and he really took well care of us. The room was great and very clean. The breakfast very nice.No doubts if I have to go baço to Cambridge, Autumn House will be my first choice.

Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, preciso in tutte le spiegazioni e premuroso nell'indicarci come muoverci e cosa visitare a Cambridge. La stanza è piccolina ma bella, in prefetto ordine e pulita. Il bagno molto comodo e pulito con una bella doccia. In camera abbiamo trovato acqua, un bollitore, bustine di tè, tisane, caffè, biscottini, insomma, tutto l'occorrente per fare una piccola colazione. Il riscaldamento funzionava perfettamente e il posto era abbastanza silenzioso e tranquillo. Il b&b non è in zona centrale ma le fermate degli autobus si trovano a poca distanza. L'unico problema è che dopo le 22:45 gli autobus non passano.

The accommodation and the host Al were to very high standard and wouldn't hesitate in booking the same place if we were in Cambridge again.

When preparing a coffee in the room I emptied the kettle first and poured fresh water in not realizing that it had already been freshly filled prior to my arrival.This, in basic terms, explains the level of hospitality which is second to none!I never had a B&B experience that gets close to this anywhere! Everything is newly refurbished. The breakfast room is nicely organized as is the mouth watering meal itself! The location is perfect in terms of vicinity to Cambridge City as well as avoiding commuting traffic jam.I recommend the Autumn House by the highest grade.

An excellent standard of B & B for the price, friendly host who provided lots of very helpful, thoughtful extra touches, eg specially produced town map, bus timetable, umbrella if you need one. Unusually good disabled access with ground floor rooms available, tho some might find the double bed a bit low. Thoroughly recommended.

Everything topstandard. A bit to long maybe to walk to town in the wintertime but I did it anyway.

Autumn House is a lovely bed and breakfast. Al was very helpful, he gave us a map of Cambridge, explained the stuff worth doing in Cambridge and even gave us a bus schedule. Breakfast was amazing and the place is very clean. The only "bad" thing I have to say is that a I am a very very light sleeper and I forgot my ear plugs for the first night, the bed and breakfast is in a fairly big road and there was some traffic through the night and I could not rest as much as I would have wished.

Extremely comfortable stay with my son.Both were accommodated in single rooms. Every luxury was catered for making for an excellent stay. The only negative was from my son who felt being in the single room by the main front doormeant he herd every person arrive and leave in the evening which did disturb him. Breakfast however was excellent with many choices. A credit to you both.

My husband & I have just spent a fabulous 4 days/nights at Autumn House. Sharon & Ali are excellent hosts. Sharon was there to greet us on arrival, very welcoming and full of information for us first time visitors to Cambridge. Ali was cheerful at breakfast time and always interested in us and what we were planning for the day, and he too had plenty of suggestions and tips to assist.Breakfast was suburb and plentiful, a great choice of options and delicious.Our room, 4, was very clean and comfortable. Bed was really cosy. Complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee etc, replenished whenever requested.There is a main bus route just outside the house, which goes straight into town, so we didn't need to use our car at all. Went to Ely one day, highly recommended, and we caught the bus to the train station. Easy and much less hassle than driving. We were able to leave the car parked on the driveway at arrival until we left.Can't recommend Autumn House highly enough. An excellent choice. Would definitely stay again if we return to Cambridge.

Autumn House is ideally situated for visiting Cambridge town. There is a bus stop nearby with a frequent service, or the river walk there is most interesting. We were made very welcome and our hosts were really informative and helpful. The rooms were modern, comfortable and clean and breakfast was everything we wanted and more.

Hard to find where to begin. The en-suite double room was really comfortable and well-equiped, everything in the bathroom was large from the towels to the shower. Sharon and Al are lovely and their full English breakfast is as good as hearty. This place and its owner deserve their 5 stars without a doubt.

Excellent standard of accommodation which is better than most hotels in Cambridge at less than half the price! Superb breakfast cooked freH to order. Very welcoming owners. I highly recommend Autumn House.

Breakfast is very good and varied.Ensuite shower room is smart.Room quiet despite main road.Only possible niggle is the small size of the twin room no. 2, fine for a couple of nights tho'

One Word: Wonderful!!

My partner and i stayed at Autumn House for two nights in October. We found our experience to be an excellent example of how a bed and breakfast should be. Al and Sharon obviously work very hard at all aspects to ensure that you have a great stay. They are both very friendly and our room, the double deluxe, was very clean, spacious and has a great shower and toilet room. The king size bed is very welcome and everything just looks neat and tidy. The breakfast room continues the high standards as does the full english breakfasts we had. You'd be hard pressed to find a better b and b. Thank you for a great stay in Cambridge.

This was our second 2-night stay this year.Again we were not dissapointed.Autumn House is a well run and homely B+B of a high standard which offers a sumptuous breakfast and close proximity to Cambridge centre.

Staying in Cambridge was really finde. Autumn House has highest standard. The rooms are very clean and have nice furnitures. The bathroom is very modern and has a super power-shower. And breakfast was perfect. The best cheese omelette ever ;-)! Only the way to the city is very long. The rest was perfect.

Very enjoyable stay, with informative hosts. Stayed in deluxe room was nicer than any hotel I have stayed in, delicious breakfasts in fact nothing was too much trouble for them, would definitely recommend to friends.

I'm used to travel a lot, and I always stay in hotels. This time, I decided to have an experience in a B&B. I was quite afraid to find an unpleasant surprise upon my arrival, but it was exactly the opposite. I felt relieved and happy when I met Al and he showed me my beautiful, cozy, modern and cute bedroom. I couldn't ask for more. My stay at Autumn House was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Both, Al and Sharon were very kind and gentle.I have no complaint with the street noise reported in other reviews. My room was at the front of the house and I can't complaint at all.

I had a friend visiting from abroad who had never been to Cambridge, so we stayed for two nights. Everthing at Autumn House was excellent. Sharon and Al welcoming and most efficient hosts, the room comfy and super clean, breakfast abundant and tasty. Autumn House embodies the reasons we prefer to stay in B&Bs: warm hospitality, relaxed comfort, excellent breakfasts, quiet, good location. It also has fast and reliable wifi and a really comfortable bed! Everything is newly redone, with charming decor. We could regulate our room's temperature to our desires. Both our room and the dining room were light and airy. Sharon and Al were so helpful, loaning us an excellent walking tour guidebook as well as a lovely walk along the river, recommending terrific restaurants close by, and showing us how to easily catch the bus for a quick trip into town (though it's easily walkable, too).Our airline had lost one of our bags, and Sharon and Al came back to the house special to meet the delivery person so we would get it. That's just one example of the extra nice things they do, like arranging taxis and giving advice.5 stars!

Once again a wonderful welcome and a first rate stay. No better place to stay in Cambridge.

We were to arrive late as travelling after work that day but Al welcomed us into their beautiful B&B and made us feel at ease immediately.This was a Birthday treat for my Wife and with the immaculate bedroom and ensuite bathroom,could not have planned it any better.Al and Sharon were great hosts and wow,could they serve up a good breakfast.Their knowledge and advice of Cambridge meant that no time was wasted in our weekend stay and we left elated having visited all the top spots,including the punting.I cannot recommend this B&B enough cos its simply the best B&B we have ever stayed in!Paul and Annette of Hastings.

We had a great time staying at Autumn House: lovely room with luxury en-suite, brilliant breakfasts and warm and friendly hosts - and only a two-minute walk to the bus stop for frequent buses to the city centre (only 10 minutes bus ride). We can thoroughly recommend Autumn House and will definitely stay there if we visit Cambridge again.

I've stayed several times in this wonderful B&B and I must say I was very impressed. Clean, modern, very cosy and is very well equipped (eg I had a iPod/iPhone docking station in the room that I stayed). You can see the owners' personal touch as soon as you walk into the house. Sharon and Al are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recomend it to everyone.Other points:not too far from the city centre, not a walking distance though. The nearest bus stop is only a few meters away. May need to park on the road as the car parking spaces at the front of the house are limited.

We stayed at Autumn House for a long weekend at the end of October whilst visiting our daughter. The rooms are immaculately clean and finished to a high standard with excellent facilities, breakfast was great and plentiful and we shall definitely be returning, need i say more!

Lovely B&B. Room was very nice, clean and had everything you would need. Lovely big bathroom towels and the standard of bathroom was more than what we expected. Want to know where the bed is from as it was just so comfortable. Easy to get into town - we got the bus but you could walk if the enlgish weather is on your side. Enjoyed two lovely breakfasts. Would recommend for anyone to stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Autumn House. Everything about it is exceptional. The room was very comfortable, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent but what made our trip special was the hosts, Sharon and Al. They work very hard to make your stay a real pleasure and nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is very well situated and the city centre is easily accessible either by bus or by a beautiful riverside walk.

This is an establishment whose owners have put a great deal of thought into their hospitality - and it shows. From the friendly and helpful welcome (bags taken to your room, every appliance explained, suggestions of the best routes into town etc) to the smart and comfortable rooms and the excellent breakfast,Sharon and Al have aimed high and hit the target. Spotless rooms with excellent en-suite combine with thoughtful touches like the free wifi, Ipod player and imaginative welcome-tray. Who needs hotels with B&Bs like this?

This is the best B & B I have stayed in during the last 12 years I have spent travelling on business all over the UK.The proprietors were efficient, friendly, very helpful and not intrusive.I stayed in a single room which I do not normally do as they are usually very small but this one was great.I had room to work comfortably with my laptop and and the ensuite bathroom was full size.Cleanliness and decorations were exemplary.A great place to stay.

all the reviews i read before booking this b&b, did not prepare us for how good the place really is, from the very warm welcome from al & sharon, to very high standard of cleanliness and comfort, and a mouth watering breakfast. If you need to know anything about the area ask al, and his recommendations for places to eat are spot on. Nothing is to much trouble for Al and Sharon. Certainly not one to be missed.

Al and Sharon made us feel so welcome and were really accommodating when we wanted somewhere safe to store our bikes. The breakfasts were fantastic and the rooms lovely and homely and spotlessly clean. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful B&B not far from the city centre. Rooms are spacious and tidy, with a particular attention for the details. The breakfast, English or continental, is really good and cooked at the moment. You can find a friendly and familiar atmosphere thanks to the owner, Sharon and Al, always ready to speak with their guests.

I stayed at Autumn House for two nights at the end of March. I was very impressed by the high standard of the accomodation. Our bedroom and en-suite bathroom were beautifully furnished and the owners were very helpful. The breakfast was great too with plenty of choice. I'll certainly stay there again next time I'm in Cambridge.

An excellent B&B located in quite surroundings near a bus stop from which it's easy to get to the city center in about 10 minutes. The hosts are very kind and complaisant. The room and the whole house is unimpeachably clean. In the room you have a comfortable bed, flatscreen-tv, wi-fi, kettle (tea, coffee, chocolate and bisquits), shower and wc. The included breakfast is fresh and well-cooked with a wide range of courses to choose between. Overall I find this accomodation superb. I can't believe there is a better B&B than Autumn House i Cambridge. I highly recommend it and will surely return if I visit the area.

We found the Autumn House experience exceptionally good from the initial friendly welcome, through local travel and restaurant advice to a final farewell. The deluxe room we stayed in was modern in decor without being flamboyant; was comfortable and equipped with all mod cons for internet access, television etc. There was a lovely well fitted en-suite bathroom. The menu selection at breakfast was more than adequate and appeals to both the carnivore and vegetarian. The whole place was exceptionally clean, tidy, quiet and private. If one does not wish to travel by car there is a bus stop close by although it is recommended to walk in to Cambridge alongside the River Cam, something we did daily. We would not hesitate to stay there again when re-visiting Cambridge.

Stayed on 17/03/12. It was simply the best Guest House we have stayed at. Were made to feel really welcome, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and superb breakfast. We`ll be back for sure next time we come to Cambridge

We have stayed in several B&Bs and Autumn House is by far the best. Rooms are spotless, breakfast was delicious, and Al & Sharon were very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. We highly recommend Autumn House.

I would highly recommend Autumn House if you want to stay in Cambridge. We stayed for two nights. Sharon and Al were very helpful. My stay at Autumn House was fantastic - can't fault anything. The room was immaculately clean, very comfortable and was stocked with everything I needed.The breakfast was top notch - large portions and freshly cooked.The owners were welcoming, friendly and helpful.I'd definitely stay again and will be recommending it to my friends.

Not easy to find some where nice but reasonable to stay in Cambridge so glad I have finally stayed here. Lovely and comfortable and well thought out. Very friendly owners and a lovely breakfast. I will definitely be back!

The reviews we had read of Autumn House before we stayed there turned out to be completely accurate. Spotlessly clean, many nice little extras, a friendly and helpful welcome, great breakfasts and close to the bus route into the city centre. We would have no hesitation in staying there again and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Cambridge. It will be the first place we will check for vacancies next time we are going there.

This B&B is an absolute gem.My wife and I stopped here for 6 nights at the Beginning of August 2011.The B&B is owned by Sharon & Al. On arrival we were welcomed by Al and offered tea and biscuits. Whilst having the refreshments Al gave us details of places we could find good evening meals as well as giving us details of how to walk or ride into town.The bus stop is just down the road and goes into the town centre. The walk into town by the river is easy.The room was en suite with toilet, wash basin and shower only. No bath. A kettle is provided with various drink options. A remote control flat screen TV was also installed in the room. Room decor is very good.Sharon produced and excellent breakfast with a good choice on the menu. You will start the day with a full belly here.Cleanliness. This B&B is clean. It gleams. In my life I have stayed in many places. I can honestly say that this B&B is 5*. You may think it is too good to be true. No way. Just read the other reviews. Book now and enjoy.Will come back

Our stay at Autumn House was extremely enjoyable and comfortable.The power shower was very good, the bed lovely and soft, excellent standard of cleanliness, good cooking and above all a really friendly welcome.

We stayed at Autumn House for 2 nights. During that time we concluded that this was the best bed and breakfast we had stayed in. The room was clean tidy and luxourious. The en suite bathroom was clean and the shower was great. The owners Sharon and Al are welcoming, friendly but not intrusive they can also cook a great breakfast! We would give Autumn house 5 stars, as it was faultless!

We recently stayed here as a party of 8 and had a wonderful weekend.Upon arrival, we were made welcome with coffee, tea and biscuits and given details of Cambridge, what to do, where to go and how to get there.Nothing was too much trouble for Al and Sharon, the breakfasts were really delicious the rooms and bathrooms were faultless and we would thoroughly recommend Autumn House to other customers

Great Stay

What a fabulous B & B.Autumn House was everything that the website promised.The decor was fresh and modern, attention to detail was second to none and a great breakfast was provided.Sharon and Al were gracious hosts.We have rated it the best B & B we have stayed in England and Ireland.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The accommodation was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and the breakfast was unbeatable.

We had a 2 night stay and this really is an excellent B&B, the best we have ever stayed in. The rooms are furnished to a very high quality and the breakfast was outstanding. The owners make you feel so welcome too, they are very helpful with advice etc.

We stayed two nights at Autumn house and were warmly welcome. Our room was on a 'relatively' busy street but noise was no issue at night time. Great breakfast, only bacon a bit salty for our 'french' taste. Excellent Indian restaurant 500 meters away, Cambridge colleges at 30 minutes of a leisure walk mainly alongside the river. Price a tad high for a B&B but accomodation near Cambridge centre are not cheap...

I was surprised at the excellent standard of the accommodation, the room was of 5* standard and quality. The whole house is decorated to a very high standard and attention to detail is impeccable. In addition a genuine warm and friendly approach to clients added to the "homeliness". Well done!!!

We stayed at Autumn house for 2 nights while visiting Cambridge. It is a newly renovated b+b and it shows in the cleanliness and attention to detail. Our room was just what we needed - comy bed, very clean and decent sized bathroom. A little road noise was the only downside to an otherwise enjoyable and restful stay. It was a great location to get into Cambridge easily - a 2 min walk to the bus stop and buses come every 10min taking us to the centre of town. This was ideal rather than trying to drive or pay more expensive places in the actual town itself. My partner and I would definitely stay here again if we were ever to visit Cambridge again. Both the owners were welcoming and helpful - oh and breakfast was excellent too! a lovely variety of fruit, cereal, salmon, eggs, pancakes etc. Overall a good value for money b+b definitely recommend to anyone wanting a short trip to Cambridge.

Could not of asked for any better than we received. Sharon and Al were the perfect hosts and Chris was very attentive to every detail in our de-lux room and so friendly. Every aspect of our stay was perfect. The room was comfortable and very well equipped, breakfast was amazing with so much choice and Al was, well what can we say about Al. He was a great host and we enjoyed breakfast time so much having a laugh with him which really started our day off perfect, He and Sharon are the perfect hosts and we would recommend staying at Autumn House 100%. By far the best and cleanest guesthouse we have ever stayed in.

Rooms are maintained to a beautiful standard, however, traffic can be noisy which can make it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was lovely and Al and Sharon were very welcoming with great suggestions for food and places/things to do.

This is the second time I have stayed at Autumn House. The first time was with my husband but this time around I took my sister in law. The rooms as always are calming and perfect as is breakfast. Autumn house is home away from home with a wonderful welcome feeling that leaves you refreshed.
